The absolute worst place I have ever stayed. The room smelled awful. The room smelled like mold so bad that I very seriously contemplated going to sleep in my car. The television had one channel and the linens on the bed were very gross. The mattress was absolutely terrible as well. The shower had no hot water. With the amount of tourists coming through Mackinaw City along with their relatively high rates for being a "Budget Inn," you would think they could afford to upgrade from the 1980's decor. I would not recommend this motel even if you are only staying for one night.
Creepy, bed was like a rock, pool was not heated. But had a decent hot tub, and reasonable price.
First off, I read reviews on hotels religiously. That's why I try to be as real as possible on them. And I'm so tired of seeing people complain about things that the hotel staff itself, cannot control. Like bugs. Mosquitoes, fly's, spiders, etc.... Right now, its summertime, there's bound to be some insects wherever you go. Is your house completely free of them? No, no it is not. To complain about those types of bugs in your room, is just rediculous and a waste of everyone's time. Not to mention, this hotel has its rooms on the outside. Good luck finding a hotel without those types of bugs. With that said, check in was a little unusual because we had to walk to the hotel next door in order to do so. I get why they do it though. They cut down on their costs so they can pass the savings to us. Which is another thing, people seem to ignore that they're finding a hotel in a huge tourist town, that is deeply lower priced than most others. It is a budget hotel. It smelled a little musty upon arrival. Once we were in and out a couple times, that seemed to go away. The room was clean, no bed bugs. It is outdated, but if you're on a budget, it's perfect. We simply went there to sleep, so we didn't check out the pool or any other facilities. It's very close to many of the attractions of Mackinaw City, yet, nice and quiet. The staff were all extremely polite and helpful. We will certainly stay again.
Cheap especially for the area. Nothing to fancy. Tv is kinda old, and room was kinda small but decent for the price.
Clean rooms, very cheap, spa and swimming pool, breakfast with muffins, juice, coffee and wonderful staff
