Hotel check in was a nightmare. I originally booked 6 rooms through the website. The day of check in, the front desk called to "confirm" only 5 rooms, then tried to tell members of my party I came into the hotel to cancel one of the rooms. I did not arrive in Mackinaw until 10:30 pm. They did give my party a room at our group rate, which is the service you would expect at a hotel where the reservation was made 3 months prior. However, upon wanting to extend their stay an extra night, the hotel staff was verbally abusive to my group. They claimed they should have never gotten the room that they did, and that they weren't sure if there would be a room available to them. It's not our fault that the staff gave us a "honeymoon" suite for the rate they gave it to us. Our group made the move to a different room. Now, two weeks later, I am seeing two faulty charges on my credit card. One supposedly is a "pending" charge, which is not pending and should be taken off within 14-21 days. The staff has been extremely unhelpful in identifying what the other charge is. All members of my party have been charged the correct amount, so there should be no extra charge on my card. I've called multiple times trying to reasonably get the charge taken off, I've been understanding in that things happen. The staff is unapologetic, quite rude on the phone and even have hung up on me and my husband. The lack of respect from workers is the reason I would never stay at this establishment again.

Clean, spacious, and beautiful views at the beachfront and has a view from a distance of Island. Staff was friendly, breakfast bar was sufficient, but go early or it's slim pickings. The pool and hottub were very clean and not over crowded. The beach could be combed and cleaned up a bit. But a great time overall for a family of six!
We stayed here Dec. 26-27th. While the weather was bitter cold the rooms were pleasantly warm. You can tell the hotel has been around a while but everything was clean. When in the rooms I did not hear anyone around us or above us. I only heard someone from the next room when they were showering the next morning but that was only cause I heard the water running through the pipes. The breakfast is one of the better ones I have had at a hotel. Food all tasted and looked fresh. Overall a pleasant experience and we plan on visiting again in the summer.
We have been here twice. For the most part everyone is nice. The rooms seem clean and mostly in good repair. There's a nice view on the water side. I would give this place close to four stars. There is a pretty decent breakfast. Sausage, biscuits, gravy, eggs, fruit salad, breads, bagels, cereal, powdered donuts etc. Pool is pretty nice and hot tub.
This location was right on the beach just a few blocks away from the ferry lines. The room I stayed in was very spacious, private balcony, the bathroom was on the small side. It was very noisy at night but not really any noisy than other hotels. Room service seemed to take a long time to get to out room to clean it. I had to ask three times for a crib to be brought up. I asked for recommendations for restaurants for my family of young kids and recommended a bar and it was awful.
